The much awaited Street Food Hub scheme of the Municipal Corporation will be launched in Company Bagh before Diwali. For this, preparations are being made rapidly by the corporation.
Decision taken to establish at four places
The Municipal Corporation had recently decided to set up food zones at four places. These food zones are to be built in place of the smart parking of Parshvanath Plaza located on Delhi Road, the boundary wall of Company Bagh in Civil Lines, the smart city parking near Ramganga Vihar Registry Office and the boundary wall outside Buddha Park. There are preparations to allot about 30 to 40 shops on this food street.
Where vendors will be allotted shops through lottery system. Apart from this, special care will be taken of the facilities of the people in this street food zone which will be established on PPP mode. Along with registering the shop operators here with the food department, they will also be insured. There are preparations to make arrangements for chairs, lights, drinking water, public toilets, selfie zone, parking etc. for the people here.
Stalls will be set up before Diwali
Municipal Commissioner Divyanshu Patel said that preparations are on to establish the street food zone soon. Our effort is to start the food zone near Company Bagh before Diwali. This will curb many widespread problems in the area.
